Working parties
We love to offer our members and the wider community even more support, so we created ‘Working Parties’. These are meetings which anyone can join to discuss elements of their role, share tips, ideas and experience. AMHIE arrange it all, so all you need to do is show up when you want to join in!
The working parties are divided into various groups within the wider community so that peers can interact; giving the groups more value and insight than a larger mixed cohort might offer.
To join, simply select the working party that most suits your background from the list below; we have working groups for Providers/Suppliers or Professionals.

Provider/Supplier working group:
Be part of the group devoted to sharing good practice and developing ideas for providers
The Association is led by its members and anyone involved in mental health in education throughout the UK; to fulfil this commitment we offer organisations a chance to join us for our working groups. If you are a provider of mental health related support, tools, resources or products you can join our working group.
How does it work?
Working groups meet up to 4 times a year and to share their ideas, feedback and any news surrounding providers in the sector. We will update the group on anything coming from the National Steering Group and give you the opportunity to bring forward anything you want discussed at the next meeting.
Who can join?
Anyone can join, as long as they are working in the mental health sector as a provider.
Do I get free membership?
We cannot offer our groups complimentary full membership, but you will be automatically signed up to our free membership option enabling you to be kept updated on news and what’s going on, as well as have access to membership certificates and badges!
Do I have to be a big company?
No, anyone can join ~ we are inclusive! Financial or budget constraints does not prevent anyone from getting involved.

Professional working group:
Be part of the group devoted to sharing resources and ideas that would benefit people who are learning.
AMHIE supports those involved in mental health in education throughout the UK; anyone can join our working groups. As a professional in the sector, you can join and share your resources and tips to help and support others in the community in our professional working group.
How does it work?
Working groups meet up to once a month to share their ideas, feedback and any resources that will support others working within the sector with their learning and development.
Who can join?
Anyone signed up to our free membership option (as we need your contact details to be able to connect you all and arrange group meetings).
Do I get free membership?
We cannot offer our groups complimentary full membership, but you will be signed up to our free membership option enabling you to be kept updated on news and what’s going on as well as a membership certificate and members badges.
Do I get remuneration?
Sorry, we do not offer payment for this group. It is there to support you.
