Podcast Episode 1: Are we facing an epidemic of mental health difficulties in education?

It’s a question that goes beyond simple yes or no. We’re seeing a clear and concerning rise in mental health challenges among students, from elementary school all the way through university. In this episode, we’ll explore what’s behind this trend, from the intense academic pressures and the constant presence of social media to the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our first episode was recorded on 16th September 2025 and featured our National Steering group members, AMHIE Chair and CEO Richard Daniel Curtis and special guest Mental Health campaigner Ben West.
