Working Parties:

June is now upon us which means we are now taking applications to join our working parties for 2025/26 academic year, these are meetings which anyone can join to develop guidance, resources, toolkits or case studies for members. The working parties are divided into various groups within the wider community so that peers can interact; giving the groups more value and insight than a larger mixed cohort might offer. https://amhie.com/our-offer/educational-working-parties/

The Mental Health in Education Awards:

Applications for the 2025 Awards are now closed, but we strongly encourage you to check out these awards run by AMHIE’s parent, The Root Of It the awards have only been running since 2023 but we want to award you! This award symbolises hard work and heart-felt devotion. Let us know about people and organisations who deserve to receive a Mental Health in Education Award by downloading the application form and entering the 2026 Awards on January 1st. DfE Press release: “Almost million more pupils get access to mental health support”:

Driven by a commitment to address inherited challenges and improve children’s life chances, the government is expanding access to Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) with the goal of reaching all pupils by the 2029/30 academic year. This ambitious plan signifies a recognition of the crucial link between mental well-being, school attendance, and overall educational attainment. DfE Press release: “More support for neurodivergent children in mainstream schools”:

The UK government is expanding its Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) programme with an additional £9.5 million in funding, offering more support to around 300,000 neurodivergent children, including those with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. This expansion will extend the programme to another 1,200 schools, building on the positive impact already seen in 1,600 primary schools. VE Day 80th Anniversary 8th May:
